But there is a better way of making money from a giveaway. You will profit even more if you have something to give away yourself, and build yourself a list of internet marketers who will buy from you.

1. Upload a valuable gift - something that people will really be glad they downloaded.

2. Upload your gift and test your opt in before the launch day. Most visitors will come in the first 24 hours.

3. Have an upsell that people will see immediately when they sign up for your gift. For example you can show this second offer on the same page as the download link for your free gift. I find that a low priced offer works best ($5 to $15).

4. Send your subscribers the download page address in an email, even if your autoresponder already sent them there. That way they have another opportunity to buy your paid product.

5. Follow up with further emails through your autoresponder, either giving additional information or more bonuses.

6. Then you can start to promote your higher priced products (or affiliate products). Remember that the free gift should attract people who will buy your later offers, so choose your free gift carefully.

7. Always promote the internet giveaway. If you do not yet have a list of your own, there are many free promotion methods such as safelists. Do something every day. This will add to your points so your gift is shown higher on the list.

8. If the giveaway offers an upgrade where you have the chance to get your gift a higher place, I recommend you take it. it pays well.

Finally, keep logging in to see the site statistics. Is your free gift getting as many subscribers as the others on the same page? How is your second offer converting? Are your new subscribers staying on your list? There are man things that you can test to improve your sales.
